Earlier this year, when I came to the hard realization that I was not present in hardly ANY pictures….I set out on a mission to change that. You can read what exactly sparked the fire to get in the pictures here.

So, this Mother’s Day, I really wanted to make sure to get a generations picture. You see, my grandmother (picture below) is the the only living grandparent I have left. And I’m going to be 100% honest with you…. nobody was feeling up for a picture. But I was ready….and THIS was a battle I was willing to fight for 🙂 Telling your 70ish year old grandma sternly (but sweetly of course) to get her butt up and get in the picture…… and telling your own mama to stop worrying about not having any makeup on……and grabbing each kid one by one and sticking them on/around the table…..It was an act of congress but that’s okay. Seriously, this picture is worth more than a million bajillion dollars to me. It has the women who shaped and molded me into the woman I am today. It has my children who are literally my beating heart.

Gathered around my kitchen table…. in my tiny kitchen…..with the men outside cooking steak. We (as my grandma would call it) were makin’ memories.

Get in front of the camera friends…..for you, for your family and for your memories. Bribe them if you have to 🙂 buy a cheap tripod (mine was seriously $60 bucks) put on that self timer….and get your butt in the picture.

You won’t regret it.
