Ryan and Sallie’s two day wedding affair in Halifax, NC at the the brand new wedding venue, The Pines, was full of breathtaking moments and beautiful vintage details. They were united in marriage in an intimate outside ceremony on May 13th, 2016 in front of their immediate family and closest friends. The following day on May 14, 2016, they hosted a huge reception full of laughter, dancing and gourmet dishes. Sallie and Ryan were blessed with the most magnificent golden hour for couples portraits after the ceremony and a heaven sent double rainbow during their reception. It was an absolutely perfect two day affair celebrating two people whose love runs so deep and so strong that it brings goosebumps to your skin to witness.

Sallie’s 1808 heirloom wedding gown, cascading flowers and loose bohemian braid complimented her beautiful and loving free spirit. To see her gorgeous bridals, click here. Every single detail from both the wedding and reception featured the combination of vintage and regal feel. It was truly lovely.

Ryan describes their love story as one that started off as a beautiful friendship. In his own words, “It wasn’t until one day when we crossed paths while jogging near my apartment that I realized I had stronger feelings for her. Many months later, after a long shift at the airport where I was working, I couldn’t take it any longer. I got up the courage to drive to her apartment in the middle of the night and lay my feelings out for her. Luckily the feelings were mutual! After a long courtship that spanned multiple personal, professional, and geographical changes, I proposed to Sallie on Christmas of 2014.” Their connection, sweet mannerisms towards one another and pure joy when they are side by side is simply beautiful.

It was a true honor and privilege to take part in and document their love story. It’s one for the record books.

Enjoy my favorites from their wedding day and reception below.
