TWO YEARS.

I’ve spent the last two years learning how to NOT miss the focus while shooting.

A blurry picture when done on purpose for artistic reasons is one thing….

BUT a blurry picture when YOU screwed it up on accident… is totally different and often times disheartening.

I can’t even tell you the number of pictures that I’ve not given a second glance to because of this.

BECAUSE I AM A PERFECTIONIST.

There.I said it.

BUT what happens when you toss out a truly wonderful picture?

One that captures the whole essence of what life’s about…..

ONE THAT CAPTURES YOUR LIFE

……..A picture that screams love, joy and connection……

When you discard that picture….You let perfection win.

AND THANK THE LORD….  we just aren’t meant to be perfect.

I found myself doing it today. Tossing out one of my images because it wasn’t in perfect focus.

I’m not talking about so blurry you can’t tell what’s in the picture.

I’m talking when you zooming in 1:1, you slightly missed the focus.

.……..The reality of someone actually noticing you missed the focus?…….

Highly unlikely.

…….The reality of you WISHING you hadn’t tossed that missed focus picture to the side?……..

Highly likely.

SO here they are my friends….. My MISSED FOCUS pictures….the ones that almost didn’t make it.

Don’t be your own worst enemy.

Life isn’t perfect. Why should every single one of our pictures be?

So don’t throw ’em out. Keep ’em.

You won’t regret it.

Sometimes….

We miss the focus all together and we need a reminder that it’s okay.

Get in the picture with your kids.

In focus….Out of focus….Missed focus….

You deserve to be
