When a little girl imagines her wedding day, she imagines herself in a stunning white gown and flowing veil, being whisked away in a horse drawn carriage by her handsome groom! Your wedding day is your chance to feel like the royalty you’ve seen in fairytales all your life. The Carlson wedding was a real life fairy tale all the way down to the carriage pulled by a gorgeous white horse! No detail was overlooked and the day was flawless. As a Camden NC wedding photographer, it was such a magical wedding to capture.
Meet the Carlsons! Jasmine, the bride, has been in front of my camera for years. She was part of my very first senior model crew during her senior year of high school. She went to East Carolina University where she met McCoy through a mutual friend during their freshman year and their happily ever after began right there! Jasmine and McCoy wed at the house of a friend in Camden, NC and through their careful planning and creativity, they created a day that was full of love.
When Jasmine and I planned out the schedule for her wedding photos, she let me know that she and McCoy wanted to take first look photos before the ceremony. I love that more and more of my couples are choosing to do a first look. It helps with any nerves before the ceremony but more importantly, you get a few quiet moments together as a couple. You won’t believe how fast the day flies by once the ceremony starts and my couples who choose to have some time together before the ceremony begins are always grateful.
Having been Jasmine’s photographer before made connecting with her during the wedding day so natural. She knew where to look and listened for my directions. It was obvious that photos were incredibly important to her. She was aware of where I was at all times and it truly reflected in her beautiful pictures.
Every wedding reception takes on a life of its own. Jasmine and McCoy’s guests came to party! Everyone was dancing the night away! Love is something to celebrate and the joy at this wedding reception was contagious. Just look at all the smiles and sweet dance moves from the night! Everyone lit sparklers and gave the new Mr. and Mrs. Carlson a sparkly send off as the night came to an end.
Jasmine and McCoy were able to still pull off their fairy tale wedding despite Covid-19. Even though they had to move their original date, it could not have worked out more beautifully in the end.
