Last week, I traveled to Roanoke Rapids, NC to photograph some beautiful high school students before their prom. (You see, One of those high school students happens to be my handsome brother in law.) I arrived at the Rightmyer’s gorgeous house and took the golf cart to go and explore the land and find the perfect spot for pictures. Don’t ask me how, but I managed to get the golf cart stuck in the mud and had to be pulled out by my laughing husband and father in law. All embarrassment aside, I found the absolute perfect nook in their yard that had the MOST glorious light for their prom pictures. I can’t rave enough about how beautiful the girls looked and how handsome the boys were….they were SO much fun to photograph! I loved that each of the girls wore a different color and style dress that truly reflected their personalities. We finished up the sessions with getting the parents in for a couple special shots because these awesome parents made all of it possible. Big shout out to Sheri Rightmyer, who opened up her home, fixed a beautiful dinner, and orchestrated the whole event. AND a huge hug and kiss to my sister in law, Erica, who stood by my side and helped keep the girls dresses and flowers perfect the whole time. Enjoy some of my favorites below….

There will be two more Prom Mini Sessions held, May 9th in Elizabeth City and May 31st at the Outer Banks. If you’d like to schedule a session, click the Contact button up top and shoot me a email. I’d love to hear from you and get you in front of my camera!

XOXO,
