What do you do when it’s 100% chance of rain on your wedding day? You pivot, roll on and embrace in the beautiful moments of your day. That’s exactly what Bradley and Savannah did this past April down in Littleton, NC. In fact, these two were no strangers to a rainy day. On their engagement session day, it rained and misted the entire time. The results of that Littleton, NC engagement session was absolute perfection with gorgeous fog and snuggly moments. You may recognize the handsome Groom, he’s my brother in law. He was the last of the Myrick siblings to tie the knot and our family was so excited to welcome Savannah into our family. The wedding ceremony took place on Lake Gaston at a family friend’s gorgeous cabin featuring waterfront property. Then they headed a mile up the road to Bradley’s Dad’s enormous front yard where a beautifully decorated tent awaited them.

 

Bradley and Savannah’s dog, Gaston, was included in all the moments of the wedding day. He’s a wonderfully trained pup and didn’t mind all the attention. He wore a tuxedo dog collar and sauntered down the aisle to stand beside his Mom and Dad as they said their vows. Including your dog in some of your wedding is totally up to you! You can include them in the entire day or you can have them there for certain portions of the day. For example, some include their pups in their getting ready shots like below and some include them in the alone portions of the Bride and Groom portraits. Whatever you decide, we’ll make it work to include your sweet furry family member.

Brooks and Reid Events provided the wedding planning and coordination of the day. They set up everything under the tent and helped to make the wedding day a success. Hiring a professional planner and coordinator truly takes the stress out of your wedding day. They help keep things moving flawlessly, are aware of any hiccups and tend to them and work with the other vendors to pull off the wedding of your dreams. That’s exactly what Brook’s team did during the Myrick Wedding. I have worked with more wedding planners this year than ever and I am convinced that they are worth every penny.

When special family members are unable to make it to the wedding, it’s always a blessing to be able to Facetime with them and be able to share in the joy of the day. Savannah’s precious Hay Hay was unable to come for health reasons but they were able to pause during the getting ready process to include her and share a special moment.

Wedding reception entrances can be SO much fun with a willing and crazy wedding party who’s ready to get the crowd pumped for the reception to come! Savannah’s parents get the “Coolest Parent Entrance” award of the year with the leap frog action that took place. Bradley’s sister and brother in law switched outfits, some of the wedding party football threw beer or bouquets, twirled and danced and even pranced like a turkey. It was just a glimpse of the fun that was to come! There was even a coordinated Johnson family dance featuring Savannah, her brother, and their Mom and Dad.

The Myrick Wedding was a perfect example of not letting the weather dampen their day or spirits. It was incredible from beginning to end!
