Abigail – Class of 2021 – Elizabeth City Senior Photographer

We all need more color in our lives, so I thought I would brighten up your screens today with a very colorful senior session. Abigail is part of the class of 2021 and her senior session is so bright and joyful that it makes you smile just scrolling through the images. 

This is my first time working with Abigail. Her dad is the amazing chiropractor at Jones Family Chiropractic. They’re such a kind, loving family! My husband sees Dr. Jones and can’t say enough about how great he is. I got to know Abigail and her parents during her senior session and let me tell you, they are just the sweetest! 

We met at the NEON district in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. This area is vibrant with murals, bright colors, and textures all over. So many of my sessions take place on the beach. We soaked up all the excitement of this location in every photo and the change of scenery for me as an artist was great.

It was important to Abigail that her senior portraits reflect her truest self. She styled herself and did her own make up. I am obsessed with the bright red jumper she wore for part of her session. My senior sessions always have plenty of time for wardrobe changes. Abigail’s style was on point! If you are taking photos in a place with lots of color, pattern or texture, stick with solid colors like Abigail did when picking your outfits. Too many prints in too many places can be distracting. She looked magazine cover perfect!

Abigail brought her best friend with her and I am glad she did. Having her there made the session even more fun. Her friend was so encouraging. Along with Mom and Dad, we were like Abigail’s entourage as she posed for photos. We were all laughing together just enjoying this time to focus on Abigail and capture her perfectly for her senior year! Congratulations to Abigail on your upcoming graduation!
